It sounds like Dralius, the bartender at the Tavern of the South Wind, might be abusing his relationship with Shaaria Barista. I should talk to Emma the Barmaid and Farrokh the Bard and hear what they have to say. I’ll propably find them at the Tavern of the South Wind.
I spoke to lady at the Peladjar Inn names Shaaria Barista. She was not a coffee brewer despite her name. She asked for my “help” and advice. I walked to the docks, where I had had few pints of bad ale and straight to the Tavern.
I found Emma the Barmaid first and asked what she knew of “Shaaria” and “Dralius”. She told in length about the “abuse”.
“Emma the Barmaid informed me that Dralius refuses to marry her so he can verbally manupulate her. He also becomes verbally and possible physically abusive when he’s had a bad day.”
I found the bard near Emma and asked her the same questions.
“Farrokh the Bard told meabout a time that Shaaria Barista expressed displeasure at being asked to solicit outside Peladjar Inn. The next day, her arm was in a sling and he suspects Dralius’ temper was to blame.”
Mind full of accusations I walked back to Peladjar Inn and found Shaaria Barista in the upper floor. I told her I had talked to her friends and that they wanted to “help” her. She asked bluntly should she “stay” or should she “leave”. I voted leaving. I had learned from my past in the past world is that second chances won’t work on violent men.
“I adviced Shaaria Barista that she should leave Dralius, but she seemed reluctant to act on it. I fear my insight may not be seen by one who is blinded by love.”
My mother was the same.
